EFT For Managing Panic Attacks
Considered an alternative method for Managing panic attacks, Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT for short has helped people all over the world overcome anxiety disorders naturally. People who’d rather not take anti-anxiety medication, might turn to natural Cures for panic attacks such as EFT, hypnotherapy, aromatherapy, homeopathy and acupuncture.
EFT is simply a Meridian Energy Therapy, similarly to acupuncture or acupressure. Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine technique which has been practiced for centuries and works by positioning needles directly on the meridian system in the body to rebalance energy or chi flow.
Similarly, EFT is able to stimulate flow of chi by accessing major meridian points on the body. Because EFT works directly on meridian points on the body, a person can often experience immediate positive effects physically and emotionally. EFT doesn’t use needles or any other tools for that matter, instead a sequence of tapping is done on the energy system using the fingertips.
It’s been long known that the mind and body are connected and that one affects the other. Stress can be felt emotionally and physically, and can be seen as a disturbance of energy flow in the body. We may experience anxiety and Panic Symptoms and a build up of tension inside.
Practicing the tapping sequence brings about balance in the energy system, releasing built up stress hormones and adrenaline, which relieves symptoms of anxiety and stress. The tapping of the meridian points is combined with the use of affirmations during practice. This is why EFT is so effective at healing the mind and body because the core problem is identified as well as treating its negative effects on the energy system.
Although EFT is a fairly new therapy, it’s use and success has spread across the globe. It’s use stretches beyond managing panic attacks. People have used EFT for sleep problems, depression, weight problems and even addictions. Applying EFT is very easy and only takes a few minutes to learn, since you can ignore the science behind it and just get stuck in. Lots of information is out there teaching you exactly how to use the technique.
Apart from the actual tapping itself, it’s important that the core problem is recognized and worked on. Before starting the sequence it’s a good idea to write down the problem that you want to address. Using positive statements in EFT is very important for maximum results. For a person to grown and love others they must first learn to love themselves.
Managing panic attacks with EFT is very convenient and easy since it can be practiced at any moment. The technique should also be applied as soon as you experience moments of stress, anxiety, negative thoughts or emotions to counteract them. Affirmations are best used out aloud but merely thinking about them may also work. You may want to practice in a private place or massage the meridian points when in public, if you feel self conscious.
Although thousands of people have benefited greatly from EFT it is something that needs to be practiced regularly for consistent results. You have to remember that emotional issues can run deep, which means that EFT can sometimes take more than a few times to work. Don’t be afraid to use the technique for other physical and emotional problems. Through consistent practice the body’s natural energy system will continue to get better.
