Thinking You Are Going Crazy - How Panic Away Can Help

Dealing with the loss of a loved one is difficult for anyone to go through. It was devastating when my girlfriend’s mother died. Shortly after her mom’s passing she started to realize how much she was forgetting things. Super organized, always on the ball and a perfectionist her forgetfulness really started to distress her. Forgetting an appointment or misplacing her keys again and again would throw her straight into a anxiety attack. However, she immediately thought that this forgetfulness must be from some sort of undiagnosed disease and then those thoughts would attack her… what if it’s a brain tumor or cancer? What if I die? Why can’t I get this Panic away from me?

As time went by these thoughts became obsessive and she began feeling scatter-brained, unsure of herself and unable to concentrate on anything. Her irrational, obsessive thoughts would make her spiral out of control and her anxiety attacks were frightening. She spent hours researching what disease she had on the internet. She was certain she was going crazy. Fearing they would all think she’s crazy too, she didn’t even talk to any of her family or friends. She was scared.

Death is a huge tragedy and grieving is normal and takes time. It’s not uncommon to feel forgetful, overwhelmed or scatter-brained. Her imagined thoughts seemed completely real because at the time her mind couldn’t think logically so every time she forgot something she’d run to the doctor. When the doctor diagnosed her with General Anxiety Disorder she was happy because she felt relief but scared because she didn’t know how to make her anxiety go away.

After seeing her mother die, it’s no surprise that at the root of her anxiety was the fear of dying. Having a fear of something sets off anxiety or panic. If you suffer from anxiety or panic have you asked yourself what you`re afraid of? The fear during the night would wake her up and have her trembling. Her obsessive, imagined thoughts consumed her.

Since learning the Panic Away program all of those horrible thoughts she knows now were all imagined. Panic Away has kicked her thoughts to the curb and helped her to stop the fear of thinking you’re going crazy. Learning how to take control back Panic Away has improved her confidence and her memory.

It’s not uncommon to feel afraid of losing your mind or nervous when experiencing anxiety, but the truth is you don’t have to keep suffering from these painful attacks.
